Life’s Better When You’re Connected.
Connections That Matter is a community that provides a space for independent workers to form meaningful connections with like-minded individuals and gives them the tools and resources they need to grow both professionally and personally.
We're driven by our values
Having experience in both a corporate and independent environment, we are uniquely qualified to offer tools for freelancers and consultants to help them on their journey. We empower our members to embrace their skills and important place in the workforce while providing a trusted and safe space to work through the ups and downs.
We are committed to helping our members create and build meaningful connections with like minded individuals as well as potential clients and recruiters as we believe relationships are the foundation for all successful businesses.
We understand the importance of growth and development outside of a structured corporate environment so we ensure our members have easy access to resources and training needed to upskill and progress. We believe learning is a lifelong process.
We understand that working in a less structured environment can be scary, so we make sure that members feel confident in their new working environment by providing a space to share, feel inspired and take control of both their personal and professional lives.
Meet Marissa, the Founder of Connections That Matter
Marissa Spivak founded Connections That Matter after reevaluating her career path. She found her decades of experience at communications and marketing agencies had afforded her an incredible base skill set and powerful network, but the demands no longer aligned with her desire to prioritize her personal needs and spend more time with her family. This is what led her to explore a different working model that allowed her to better define how work fit into her larger life goals.
As she began working in this new model, she connected with others exploring a similar path and found there were a few things people who were working as freelancers or consultants were craving in this environment - connection, resources and opportunity for growth. It is these conversations that led her to create Connections That Matter.
